If we define creativity as generating new entities (conceptual or physical) that have not existed before, we should then examine the common framework that spans from the creation of the atoms, inorganic molecules, organic molecules, biological entites, and now digital entities. I believe there are shared logic behind these creative process, and the Logical Creativity Theory (LCT) is my attempt to provide such a common framework. 

I am now exploring the intersection of the LCT system and generative AI with regard to creativity. 

We utilize technology based automatic analysis of visual and audio signals to understand indivdiual's internal state (cognitive, physical, and/or emotional). We also study what internal state could be induced by different visual and/or audio signals. Some examples of our published work in this area include ideal face in print ad, Contour-as-Face to preserve privacy while allow perception, automatic video based recommendation system for garment, Smart Ad Display system, voice in advertisement.

We define this domain of work as Artificial Empathy (AE).   

Instincts (genetic based) have provided evolutionary advantages, but they may no longer be useful or even become harmful (so called evolutionary mismatch). It is a challenging but rewarding inquiry to study H. sapiens amelioration given the genetic predisposition. I am also interested in creative use of evolutionary predisposition to produce Pareto improvement for all stakeholders in social (including business) contexts. In addition to genetic based instinct, I am exploring instincts acquired through learning especially early in life, as well as how to deconstruct established instincts. My elementary model on this is described in my short book Bubble Theory and related writings.

I am most curious about metaverses as the digital reality, but I am also interested in the role of MR and VR in our lives. I spend time in various metaverses, for exploration, socialization, learning, and work. I am interested in a wide variety of problems in Digital Reality, and how it could be used to improve life and business practice in the physical world. I am also extending my work in Creativity, Empathy, and Instincts from the physical reality into digital reality.
